Custer’s Monroe Walking Tour of the famous General’s hometown today

A special walking tour of General George Armstrong Custer’s hometown is being offered today following the dedication ceremony and activities of the Monroe County Civil War Monument.

The tour begins at 4:30 PM from the Hometown History Tours exhibit table at the Sawyer House. Today’s tour is offered at $1.50 to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War and as a tribute to today’s event.
