To commemorate the contributions of Michigan regiments at Antietam, the bloodiest single day of the Civil War, the Michigan Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee is hosting a bus tour to the battlefield in August.
The Michigan at Antietam motor coach tour will depart from the metro-Detroit area early in the morning on Friday, August 24 and return on Monday, August 27. Several excursions are included in the tour price, including a commemorative ceremony on Sunday afternoon at the Antietam Battlefield in conjunction with Michigan Day scheduled by the National Park Service.
Pick up locations will be determined closer to the departure date based upon the residences of attendees.
Luxury motor coach transportation will be provided by Bianco Tours, a leader in the group tour business for over 35 years. Tour pricing is based upon single, double, triple or quad occupancy and includes breakfast, one lunch and two dinners.
